Wanda Jackson
(USA) started her long lasting career in the age of 15 (after winning
a talent-contest) with her own radio show!
1954 she had her first Hit-Record in the US-Country-Charts
with ’You Can't Have My Love’! She was then already called
’Queen of Rockabilly’!
1955 she toured with ELVIS PRESLEY, who persuaded her to go
on recording ‘hard’ Rock’n’Roll-Songs!
1959 ’Fujiyama Mama’ went to Number One in Japan
and in 1960 ’Let's Have A Party’ became her first
worldwide Number One and remains the absolute everlasting
partyrunner since!
More Top-20-Songs followed with ’Mean, Mean Man’, ’Stupid
Cupid’, ’Riot In Cellblock Number Nine’ or ’Right Or Wrong’
and 1964 ’Santo Domingo’ (sung in German) became another
Number One in Switzer-land, Austria & Germany!
All through the years Wanda
Jackson
kept on rockin’ and she's still doing it today!
On April 4th 2009 she finally will be inducted into the
Rock&Roll Hall of Fame (Cleveland USA)!
In Europe
Wanda
Jackson
will be backed up by Switzerland’s outstanding Rock&Roll-Band TERRY
& THE HOT SOX, a seven piece group with chart-successes of their
own (’Hamburg’, ‘Chick-A-Little Cutie’, ‘The Hottest Act In Town’)!
Wanda Jackson (USA) visits Europe in 2009 for just a few days (between June 20th
until 28th)! Her sole appearance in Switzerland will be
at Interlaken’s famous annual ’Trucker & Country-Festival 2009’!
There are
three more booking-possibilities for
June:

or 28th
